Ecology and Economy

Ecological notes: Observed several times on leaves of the wayside shrub Melastoma malabatricum (Melastomataceae). Larvae will probably mine inside leaves (record may apply to a closely related species).

Habitat: Natural forest with little traditional use (rattan extraction). Sampled tree: natural forest understorey tree.
